Hi and welcome to my blog! My name is Amanda. I’m a former special education teacher, and a single mom to two awesome kids, 14 and 6. I’m also a fitness instructor for

  • INSANITY Live
  • P90X Live
  • spin/indoor cycling
  • bootcamp classes
  • and I am a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

I enjoy running (I’m a Colfax Marathon Ambassador!), reading books, and blogging. I also love chocolate, coffee, wine, fancy beer, and long walks on the beach. Not a big fan of sand though. Ew.

This blog has been a way to document my journey with clean eating and fitness as a new lifestyle. I began my journey in March 2013 so that I could feel better about myself and avoid potential health problems – and I am nowhere close to stopping! I have overcome many bumps in the road, learned lots of tips and tricks, and this is my way of sharing what is working for me and my family.

    Thank you for making this blog!! I too am doing p90x3 and am on day 8. I love all the tips and recipes you posted! I have done p90x before then on and off. I just finished Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred a month ago and I have kinda hit a plateau. I can do the workouts but they make me so hungry. lol So I have to work on my eating habits. My goal is to tone up and hopefully loose 18-13 lbs. Let week 2 begin!
